In The Tall Grass/Internet Radio
May 1, 2005
Well, it looks like we're finally getting it together- here's the cover art to LOWdOGS new/first official release called "IN THE TALL GRASS" thanks to our friend Ron Plummer at Hawthorne Design. He's the guy who did all the design work for my "Long, Long Year" album so many years ago...
There will be a few 'album release parties' most notably The Brass Lantern show in Reading, Pa. on May 20th and The Equinox Cafe in Milheim the next day. Soon as we get actual copies it will be available through our website here or at our live shows...stay tuned for more info...
Until then, here's the songs in order... Doubt Love (5:24) The Little Things (5:29) Our Dreams Back Then (5:31) Wild Bill Jones (5:05) Sing Me Back Home (4:15) To The Sea (12:49) Alaskan Fishing Boat Blues (7:20) Breakin Out (4:08)
It was all recorded completely live on October 23 & 28, 2004 during the "FOOd" tour. We were gonna call it "FOOd" but changed our minds as girls are apt to do. Inside art includes a photo of Charlie Pissfoot in all his glory. The last three tracks include our friends Scott Murawski on electric guitar and Greg Vasso on drums. I'd like to think this album is a fine representation of what Q & I have been doing live (with some of our most favorite people in the world making noise between/during songs) and also a bridge from where I was at with my first two solo albums to what we have planned for our first studio album, but what do I know...
Also, our sometimes friend Dr. Bubba is producing an hour-long music program for HOMEGROWNradionj.com internet radio called "Black Mountain Underground" to be broadcast every monday from noon to one just before Mudbone. LOWdOGS provide the theme music and some of the bumpers....Be sure to tune in for the first show Monday, May 9th and every monday after that....
Also, The Brass Lantern show from 1/15/05 is now up for download thanks to mudbone, jelly & jeff...
